About Us

Under Mayor Muriel Bowser’s leadership, the District government is working to ensure residents have access to resources needed to help them stay in their homes. The District has already launched several programs to support tenants and landlords negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. STAY DC provides funds to assist households unable to pay rent and utilities due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The STAY DC program is administered by the Department of Human Services (DHS) in collaboration with the Office of the Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development (DMPED), the Office of the Deputy Mayor for Health and Human Services (DMHHS), and the Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD).
